Startup Tour Bangalore 2014: Kickstarting a new era of innovation!

swissnex India organised the first ever Startup Tour Bangalore 2014 from Nov 30 – Dec 4 which was attended by 8 Swiss startups. The tour planning began in July 2014 during the Innovation Tour in Switzerland by swissnex India team and the entire execution of the tour was in close collaboration with the local experts who are listed and acknowledged below

The tour was thematically engineered to achieve the following :

0Sunday evening, November 30: Welcome, introductions and cross pollination of local experts and Swiss startups along with ice breaking exercises to help the participants take the plunge into the tour.




1Monday, December 1: Immersion into Bangalore startup ecosystem via keynote speeches, visits to best startup accelerator like Microsoft Ventures, co-working space Jaaga, candid conversations with a few Indian startups and finally, engagement with world’s largest startup support body- TiE, India’s largest media platform for entrepreneurs – YourStory and HR support system for startups Pylon



2Tuesday, December 2: Understanding the cultural context of doing business in India followed by day-long Individual meetings with local experts





3Wednesday, December 3: Understanding the IP situation in India, engagement with successful Indian startups followed by a design thinking workshop, validating the individual conversations held on Tuesday





4Thursday, December 4: Closed group Pitch festival for Swiss startups with special feedback session from the experts, followed by dinner hosted by the Consul General of Switzerland
